This national day of recognition brings together hundreds of national organizations and even more state and community organizations who are calling for all Americans to begin the discussion about their healthcare wishes and to create a living will and a healthcare power of attorney. Chances are you already have a healthcare directive and HIPAA waiver through our firm as part of your estate plan. If you do not, please contact us for more information about these documents. If you do have these documents, it is important to review them at least every three years to ensure that they are up to date and still accurately reflect your wishes. They can be found in your binder under the “Advance Healthcare Directive(s)” and “HIPAA Waiver(s)” tabs. We would be more than happy to discuss these documents and any updates you might need with you in person.
